TAD Week goes fashion
Aika: 3.10.2026 klo 16.30–19.30

TAD goes fashion brings together six independent designers from Tampere, Jyväskylä, Lahti, Helsinki and Paris.
The designers’ diverse professional and cultural backgrounds are also reflected in their work. In the event, fashion can be a custom-made garment, a sculptural silhouette, a piece of jewelry designed for the body, a virtual fashion piece or an outfit that moves between the physical and virtual worlds.
Instead of a common aesthetic, the event’s starting point is diversity: different views on what fashion can be now and in the future, and how sustainable fashion design can be implemented in different ways. Alongside four runways and digital fashion, the event will expand to jewelry design, dance, music and audiovisual expression.
In addition to the runway, the audience will get to see 3D-printed accessories, textile structures and various material and manufacturing experiments up close. The event will also organize a design sale and a public raffle.
The event aims to develop and diversify Tampere’s fashion culture, highlight independent and emerging designers, and make experimental fashion and new fashion technologies accessible to the general public.
SCHEDULE:
klo 16.30 Doors open
klo 17.00 Dance show
klo 17.15–18.00 Runaway
klo 18.00-19.30 meet the designers, DJ´s and design sale
TECHNAYA
Technaya is a Tampere-based phygital fashion house and XR clothing studio that merges physical and digital garment design to create sustainable, inclusive and customizable fashion experiences. The studio designs garments that move between realities, combining 3D design, computational methods and digital fabrication with craftsmanship. Traditional techniques such as lace-making, crochet and beading meet future fashion technologies, bridging heritage and innovation.
At the TAD Goes Fashion show, Technaya presents wearable runway looks that combine recycled fabrics and traditional craft techniques with 3D design and 3D printing.
Technaya explores closed-loop systems and material autonomy, as well as how technology can be used to develop new and more sustainable methods of fashion production. By questioning the necessity of physical production, Technaya also asks: how – and do – all garments ultimately need to exist in physical form?
JANNE HILDÉN
Janne Hildén is a self-taught artist who develops his own work in fashion. His designs emphasize sculpturality, architectural influences and an interest in strong and distinctive forms. Clothing is approached not only through dressing but also through form, structure and visual expression.
For TAD Goes Fashion, Hildén brings sculptural looks to the runway, where the silhouette of the garment and the architectural form language take on a central role.
CHALABIAN
Chalabian is a Finland-based jewellery designer and goldsmith, currently studying at the Institute of Design in Lahti.
My goal for the future is to build a professional career in the jewellery industry, combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design while exploring new materials, forms, and techniques.
I have a strong background in precious metalworking, gemstone work and digital jewellery design.
In 2026, I established my own business as a goldsmith, taking an important step towards developing my professional practice.
I also maintain a jewellery-focused social media presence, where I showcase my work, share my design and making process, and explore gemstones and jewellery craftsmanship.
In addition, I am actively involved in developing the jewellery-making community in Finland by organising and teaching wax carving workshops across the country.
SUSIDKO
I work with the most honest canvas there is: the human body. In nude photography, every line tells a story of vulnerability and strength. My mission is to frame that story, giving it the respect and dignity it deserves.
Digital censorship often feels unreal or unnatural on a piece of art. I choose a different path – I create liquid metal ornaments that don’t cover but they complete.
Nude photography is a form of art, and these pieces are a natural extension of its beauty.
They are designed to highlight the natural grace of the silhouette, turning a restriction into a tribute.
My vision is shaped by the organic flow of Nusi Quero, the Femme Fatale movie, and the sharp aesthetics of T1000.
Yet, there is a quieter, more personal inspiration at play. I see this metal as a form of guardianship—a protective, almost parental light that shields what is precious. It is a subtle nod to the golden radiance of sacred domes and the grace found in the balance of shadow and light.
This digital armor allows the model to be fully herself, beautiful as she is, while remaining protected within a sanctuary of reflection.
In my world, technology serves the spirit. It creates a space where art can remain pure and untouched.
Art is human. Metal is my way of protecting it.
CHERI NAOMI
Cheri Naomi is a self-taught fashion designer who loves second-hand materials. All of her designs are made with great respect for the women who have shaped fashion historically and culturally.
She feels that we are privileged that women in the past have fought and paved the way out of societal molds so that we can enjoy diverse and culturally rich fashion today. She loves delicate and hand-sewn details, through which she can create gender-neutral outfits and express herself. She enjoys combining classic fashion trends with modern ideas, such as corset-like details on chokers or tops. Her appreciation for different fabrics, textures and techniques is indescribable, and more than anything she enjoys the limitless possibilities that fashion offers.
Cheri Naomi believes that sustainable fashion is an art and fast fashion is eating away at all the beauty that we have built over generations. Her works, due to their colors, patterns and shapes, can at first glance be seen as limited to women’s clothing, but this is precisely the perception she wants to socially challenge with her art. No color, style or accessory makes anyone feminine or takes femininity away from anyone.
We are all colors, shapes, patterns and textures.
